Raja Rajeshwari Temple is one of the major attractions in yercaud. Temple is situated on the way to Shevaroy temple, at just 4 km distance from Yercaud bus stand. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Raja Rajeshwari in the form of Goddess Shakti. It is said that one can achieve success and wealth by devoting oneself to the Goddess.
The idol of the Goddess Raja Rajeshwari is huge and 4.5 feet tall. Idol is in seating posture and is encircled by idols of other hindu gods and goddesses like Rudra, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Brahma and Saraswathi as the goddess Raja Rajeshwari is considered to be the goddess of all gods in hindu mythology.
There is an idols of Panchmukhi Ganapathy ji and Lord Shivji in the compound of the temple. It also has idols of Murugan and Navgrahas.
The temple is build in 1983 by HH Swami Poornananda Giri, who belonged to the Tirukovilur Thapovanam Srila Sri Gnanananda Giri Swamigal Parampara. This temple is managed by his son V Sri.
