If you have one just one in this beautiful city then you can start your trip with visiting the Yercaud's main attraction, The Emerald Lake. You can visit this lake from 9:00 AM. This lake has boating facilities for which you need to pay some charges. Depending upon what kind of boat you are selecting you can enjoy the ride for 15 - 30 minutes. You can click photos and videos while boating. It gives you best experience as the lake is surrounded by lush greenery. Waiting time is may take 1-2 hours so you must visit the during morning as the rush will less during that time.

Then you can visit to the Pagoda Point or Pakoda Point. It is situated 4.5 km from the yercaud bus stand. You can take auto rickshaw from there to reach the point. It is a beautiful view point from where you can get a bird's-eye view of the entire town of Salem and the village of Kakambadi. You can spend 30 minutes to 1 hour there.

After That you can visit the Peeku park, another major attraction which is just 1 km away from Pagoda Point. It is a pet farm situated at 2 acres land. You can enjoy your company with various birds like pigeon, parrots, ostrich, hens and animals like rabbits, dogs, pigs etc. You can feed the animals and birds here. The food will be provided by the park staff itself for free. There is an entry fees of INR 300/- per person. Time required to visit this park approximately 2-3 hours.

After that you can visit the Lady's Seat, Gents Seat and Children Seat. These views points are situated near the Yercaud Lake. Easily accessible through auto or bus. Lady's seat is major attraction in yercaud as this view point provides good view of the salem city, 32 km loop road and shevaroy mountain range. There is telescope also installed at this view point through which you can easily view the smallest details. This view point will take 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can also enjoy coffee at near cafe. Another 30 minutes for Gents seat and children seat.

After that you can visit the Killiyur waterfalls this water falls is 4-5 km from Yercaud bus stand you can take a cab or auto to the nearest road. From there you need to walk down 200 steps to watch this beautiful waterfalls. Ideal time to visit this falls during monsoon or just after the monsoon. Your visit to this falls require atleast 2-3 hours depending upon your age and skills to walk down the steps.
